Description:
This class provides instruction for developing shapes and forms on the wheel.  The end product will be one or more bowls, mugs, or cylinders.  Participants should have completed Wheel 1 or have the skills taught in Wheel 1.

participants will learn:
- Throwing with increasing amounts of clay
- Trimming
- Putting on a foot
- Pulling handles
- Shaping techniques
As available, class will include guest demonstrations of skills. Techniques taught require participant practice between sessions. Mastery of the skills takes time. At the completion of this class participants should continue to practice techniques to be ready to move to Wheel 3 or other creative classes leveraging the wheel. 




Materials: 
Clay, pin tool, ribs, cutters. Other tools may be requested by instructor during class.

  • Skill Level - Competent at Wheel 1 skills 
  • Number of Students - Minimum and maximums below 6 students determined by instructor.
