Throwing/Altering/Carving

Description:
Using bowl and cylinder shapes, several variations will be explored.  This will be achieved by altering the shapes through cutting, adding and carving.    Instructor suggests the students research various pottery styles including art nouveau, art deco and natural elements.  The designs do not have to be complicated.  Each student will work within their skill level.

Paricipants will learn:
- how to hange/ modify common forms using creativity and out of the box thinking 

Materials:

• Clay of choice
• Tools for throwing and carving

Class Information:

• Skill Level:  Participants  need the ability to throw bowl and/ or build cylinder forms.
